Professor Wai Ip LAM

Professor Wai Ip Lam is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education, The University of Hong Kong. She is the co-Project Leader of PISA 2025 in Hong Kong. She has led PIRLS Projects previously for Hong Kong, serving as an expert Project Leader for PIRLS 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016 and 2021. She was the Director of the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education and Research (CACLER) from 2016 to 2019. Her research interests include network analysis in Chinese Language Education; Teaching of Chinese literary language; Discourse comprehension; and Teaching Chinese to culturally and linguistically diverse students.
